Diego Lainez set for Real Betis loan exit

Real Betis are set to loan out playmaker Diego Lainez this January following a lack of playing time, according to ESPN Deportes.

Despite his age, Lainez had already racked up 50 first-team appearances for Club America having debuted aged just 16 before joining Betis in a reported €15m deal earlier this year.

The Mexico international has only been on the pitch for 54 minutes to date this campaign in a situation which is viewed as not being ideal either for the player or for the club.

The 19-year-old is said to have interest from clubs in both Spain and France while a return to Mexico has not been ruled out, although remaining in Europe is said by the report to be the best option.

Lainez has struggled to make an impact at the Seville-based club under new boss Rubi following the arrival of Nabil Fekir from Lyon this summer and has been a peripheral figure.
