Barcelona forward Luis Suarez called up to Uruguay squad

Barcelona star Luis Suarez has been called up to the Uruguay squad for their friendly games with Hungary and Argentina later this month.

Suarez returned to the Barcelona squad for their 4-1 La Liga win over Celta Vigo at the weekend, as a second half substitute, after missing the midweek Champions League draw with Slavia Prague through injury.

However according tor reports in Marca, the Barcelona medical staff are concerned about allowing him to leave for international duty so soon after returning from injury.

The 32-year old missed the last set of international games for Oscar Tabarez's side, however this time he is reportedly determined to join up with the squad.

The club are yet to comment officially on his call up, for the back to back games, which will take place in Budapest and Tel Aviv respectively.

Suarez is one of four La Liga players included in the squad, alongside Real Madrid's Federico Valverde, Girona forward Cristhian Stuani and Maxi Gomez of Valencia.
