Andres Iniesta: I want to become a Coach

Former Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta has admitted he is keen to become a Coach when his playing career is over.

Iniesta ended 22 years of service to Barca in the summer of 2018 as he joined the J-League side Vissel Kobe and has starred for the club in the autumn of his career since.

“I have not ahead into the future but yes, I can tell you that I would like to be a Coach,” Iniesta told an interview with Marca.

“But it's like everything. We can like many things and then those that are made or can be done are not the same. For now, I have my head in continuing to play, to try to keep the illusion and desire to remain. From there we will see but it is something that I think I can try.

“I have learned many things during my career from several Coaches that have left their mark on me but on top of that a game idea that is what has marked me.

“Football is always changing and you have to adapt to all situations. All the Coaches I had at Barça were influenced by the same employer. They wanted to dominate, combine, play out from behind, seek superiority…those are the things that I have lived with and would follow down that path.”
