Barcelona could be set for a u-turn on the future of midfielder Riqui Puig before the end of 2019.
The La Liga leaders had previously stated their desire to keep the 20-year old, however according to reports in Diario AS, they are now set to hold talks over his future in December.
Puig had been the subject of loan interest from Segunda Division side Real Zaragoza in the summer, with Barcelona reportedly rejecting their offer, however a loan move has now returned as a potential option.
The Catalonian international is highly rated within the club's youth ranks, and he is a ket figure for the B Team, but he is determined to played first team football, and that could force the club's hand.
He is currently under contract at the Camp Nou until 2021, with an extension to 2023, if the Catalan side opt to extend his deal.
Discussions are now pencilled in, with a possible loan move discussed for January, or a permanent move away, should Ernesto Valverde not see a place for him in the first team.
