Inter will challenge Atletico Madrid for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria next summer, according to reports.
Calciomercato say that the Milanese giants are monitoring the central midfielder and are willing to meet any realistic asking price.
On Wednesday, Diario AS cited a report in German outlet Express which claims the 22-year-old is on Atleti’s radar and claims that he would be available for transfer in the region of €40m.
It states that English duo Manchester United and Tottenham are also interested in the Switzerland international, who transfermarkt say has a value of €28m in the current climate.
The central midfielder has started all 11 matches for the Bundesliga club this campaign and has grown into a star at Gladbach after joining from Young Boys in a €12m deal back in the summer of 2017.
Zakaria – who started his professional career at Swiss club Servette – has also grown into a star at international level with Switzerland, for whom he has won 26 caps.
The report believes that a transfer away from the Bundesliga next summer could be likely.
