Fede Valverde injured for Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s injury situation has worsened with the news that Fede Valverde will be sidelined for the next two matches.

As reported by Marca, the Uruguayan has suffered a small grade 1 muscular tear and will not feature against Levante this weekend or against Paris Saint-Germain next week.

Valverde played 15 minutes in Uruguay’s clash against Costa Rica on Saturday before playing the full 90 minutes against United States on Tuesday.

Upon his return to Madrid the injury was detected and it was decided that this Friday not train and miss the game against Levante.

Madrid were hit by the news earlier this week that Luka Modric was also injured while Isco and Marco Asensio are among the other players to remain absent through illness.

Gareth Bale will also miss this weekend’s game against Levante courtesy of his red card against Villarreal in the previous La Liga match, although Valverde is expected to return to first-team action soon.
