Barcelona's Ousmane Dembélé held the keys to unblock the Neymar puzzle, according to L'Équipe.
The French newspaper, reported also in AS, states that the French forward held all the cards in the now unsuccesful deal to bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou.
It details the fact that the 22-year-old – who scored eight goals in 29 La Liga games last season and capped 21 times for his country – simply didn't want to give up on his Barcelona adventure and return to Ligue 1 with the French Champions Paris-Saint-Germain – therefore not facilitating the transfer of Neymar.
As states the report, it revealed that he is at his dream club and he insists on fighting for his place – knowing full well the fierce competition for game time in the Barcelona ranks.
It also adds that it wasn't his intention to leave and is solely focused on triumphing in Barcelona and achieving his ultimate goal – being crowned with The Golden Ball award.
