Granada loan for Roma’s Maxime Gonalons

Granada have completed the season-long loan signing of Roma midfielder Maxime Gonalons, who spent last season at Sevilla.

As outlined by Marca, the loan fee stands at €2m while the Andalusian club also hold an option to sign the player permanently for €4m.

The France international joined Sevilla on a season-long loan deal from Roma last summer as Steven N’Zonzi moved to the Italian side in a permanent move.

However, his spell was hit by a devastating leg break which sidelined him from action for six months, and he return to the Italian capital this summer.

The Frenchman moved to Roma from Olympique Lyonnais in 2017 but went on to play just 23 times for the Giallorossi.

He is the third Monchi midfield signing to leave the Olimpico this summer after Nzonzi and Ante Coric, the latter of whom has also moved to Andalusia – to join Almeria in the second tier.
