Ansu Fati proud to make FC Barcelona

Teenage striker Ansu Fati made history for FC Barcelona in the 2-2 draw at Osasuna.

The La Masia graduate came off the bench in the 5-2 win at home to Real Betis last weekend – to become their second youngest senior player since 1941 – aged 16 years 298 days.

Six days later he became their youngest La Liga scorer in history, heading home Carles Perez's cross six minutes after coming on as a half time substitute and the Guinea-Bissau forward was full of pride following the game.

"It is an honour to become the youngest ever La Liga scorer for FC Barcelona.

"I hope I can score many more goals in this shirt in the future.

"Every opportunity I get this season I will look to take it."

Fati is expected to remain with the first team for the rest of the 2019-20 season, providing cover to Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele.
