Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has dismissed claims that Christian Eriksen is being distracted by transfer rumours.
The Danish international confirmed in the summer that he wanted to leave Spurs, after spending six years in North London, following an £11M move from Ajax.
However no move has materialised yet for the 27-year old, despite reported interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid, and the Argentinean boss in unconcerned by the rumours.
"I always tell him not to be affected by these rumours.
"There is nothing you can say in these situations.
"He still has a year left on his contract here, and the current situation is not the best for him or anyone at the club.
"But he has continued as normal, and he remains an important player to the team."
Real Madrid are reportedly unwilling to meet Tottenham's asking price of €100M for a player with 12 months left on his contract in the Premier League and they may wait until June 2020 to complete a free transfer.
