Real Madrid's Eden Hazard will miss the first four weeks of the La Liga season through injury.
The Belgian international broke the club's transfer record this summer, with a €100m move from Premier League side Chelsea, and he has impressed in pre-season for Zinedine Zidane's side.
The club have confirmed he will miss their first game of the 2019-20 season, away at Celta Vigo later today, with further tests carried out next week to evaluate his recovery period.
Zidane has not confirmed when Hazard is expected to make his competitive debut for the La Liga side, but he is expected to miss their remaining games in August, against Real Valladolid and Villarreal.
Gareth Bale and JAmes Rodriguez have both returned to the matchday squad for the trip to Galicia, despite both players being linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
