Barca confirm: Coutinho to Bayern Munich

Barcelona confirm “there is a basic agreement” for Philippe Coutinho to join Bayern Munich on loan after he reportedly rejected PSG as part of a Neymar bid.

Director Guillermo Amor spoke to Movistar+ before tonight’s Liga game against Athletic Club and was asked why Coutinho was not even on the bench.

“There is a basic agreement with Bayern,” confirmed Amor. “Due to the circumstances, it may well come out, so we are going to acknowledge that.”

It’s reported to be a dry one-season loan, so without option to buy.

According to several reports in Spain, Italy and Germany, Coutinho had been proposed to Paris Saint-Germain as part of the deal for Neymar.

“The Coutinho news is true and it has come out, but with Neymar it’s better not to say too much. He is a PSG player and we have a game this evening, so should focus on winning that,” added Amor.
