Denis Suarez slams Ernesto Valverde over FC Barcleona exit

Former FC Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez has launched a scathing attack on former manager Ernesto Valverde.

The Spanish international left the Camp Nou earlier this summer, joining Celta Vigo, following an unsuccessful loan spell at Arsenal at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

However the former Villarreal CF player has criticised Valverde's conduct surrounding his exit.

"I have not spoken to him following my departure, he told an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena SAR.

"There has been no contact from him to say goodbye, there has been zero contact."

Despite his disappointment over this, the 25-year old is happy ot be back at his boyhood club, as is hopeful of success in 2019-20.

"What I want to do know is enjoy football again, and I have done that since coming back to Vigo.

"Since I have come back I have spoken with new teammates and fans and I am very excited for the new season to start.

"I hope to be involved this weekend (against Real Madrid) and I am confident ahead of the new season."
