Real Sociedad goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli has completed a season-long loan deal to Ligue 1 side Montpellier, it has been confirmed.
The move to France is a loan deal for the Argentine shot-stopper – who made 29 appearances for La Real last season – and comes following links to both Benfica and Porto in Portugal.
The 27-year-old first moved to the Basque club in the summer of 2014 having previously been on the books of Estudiantes and Deportivo Maldonado, making 180 first-team appearances for the club.
Last season, La Real rejected a €15m approach from Napoli for the goalkeeper and it had been thought they would be seeking a similar fee this summer.
The move would leave Miguel Angel Moya as the first choice goalkeeper at Real Sociedad.
