PSV demand €40m from Sevilla for Steven Bergwijn

Sevilla have been quoted a price of €40m for PSV Eindhoven forward Steven Bergwijn.

Julen Lopetegui's side have been strongly linked with a move for the Netherlands international all summer, however according to reports in Dutch international De Telegraaf they have been told only €40m will trigger a negotiation.

The report states that so far the La Liga side have only bid €25m for the 21-year old, however that has fallen way short of PSV's valuation of the highly rated striker.

Bergwijn, who came through the youth ranks at Ajax, before moving to their rivals PSV enjoyed his best senior season so far in 2018-29, with 14 goals in 33 league games.

Sevilla have not been shy in the transfer market following Lopetegui's arrival at the end of last season, spending over €110m on new arrivals, including Jules Kounde, Diego Carlos, Luuk De Jong and Munnas Dabbur – however they remain in the market for more attacking players.
