Atletico Madrid are on the verge of signing defender Elseid Hysaj from Napoli.
According to reports in Marca, Diego Simeone has highlighted the Albanian international as one of his priority signings this summer, and he now looks to have finally secured a deal in the region of €15m.
Atletico Madrid had looked to force Carlo Ancelotti's side to lower their asking price to under €12m, however the Italian side have refused to budge on their demands of €15m for the former Empoli man.
Hysaj is likely to start as first choice right back for Atletico in the 2019-20 season, after the departure of long serving full back Juanfran in June 2019, as Simeone looks to rebuild his squad after some big exits so far this summer.
The La Liga side had been linked with a move for Tottenham full back Kieran Trippier, however he now looks to be moving to Napoli, as a replacement for Hysaj – or potentially to German superpower Bayern Munich.
