Rodri Hernandez has been described as a ‘perfect fit for Pep Guardiola’s team’ by Manchester City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain.
The 23-year-old officially left Atletico Madrid for the Premier League champions on Thursday, the day after it was reported City had met his contractual release clause of €70m.
“Rodri has proven himself to be a hugely talented, young midfielder, who has all the attributes we are looking for,” Begiristain said, City’s official website reports.
“He works hard defensively, makes himself available to receive the ball and uses it well when in possession. He is a perfect fit for Pep Guardiola’s team and we are confident he will be a success.”
