Real Madrid make Casemiro lightweight in Neymar offer

Real Madrid are willing to include midfielder Casemiro in their attempts to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar, report Marca.

PSG have placed their star Brazilian on the transfer market this summer but it is said that no clubs can come close to matching his €220m valuation.

It is within this context that Los Blancos have offered his compatriot Casemiro as part of any deal to significantly reduce the overall fee of the operation.

The report claims signing a holding midfielder is the priority for new PSG sporting director Leonardo and the Madrid man is their preferred target, ahead of Napoli’s Allan.

It is also claimed that Casemiro is ‘useful but not essential’ for Zinedine Zidane’s version of Madrid in the seasons to come, meaning they are open to a sale.

The Brazilian has been a constant in the midfielder of Los Blancos over the past four seasons – playing between the back four and his midfield partners of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

It is surprising amid the news that another holding midfield player – Marcos Llorente – has also been linked with a Madrid exit.
