Manchester City to re-sign PSV defender Angelino

Manchester City are prepared to pay €12m to re-sign full-back Angelino one year after selling him permanently for €5.5m, say reports.

The Spain Under-21 international has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain and thus City believe they should bring him back to the club, say La Voz de Galicia.

PSG are said to have offered €25m for the defender but due to City’s contractual option when selling him last year, they can buy him back at half the price of that offer.

Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax, Barcelona and Arsenal are also said to have registered an interest in the player, who was voted as the best left-back in the Eredivisie last season.

The 22-year-old only made three first-team appearances for City – all coming in cup competitions – before leaving the club on a series of loan spells.

Angelino was loaned to both Girona and Real Mallorca in the second tier while also spending temporary loan stints at New York City and NAC Breda.

He has represented Spain at various youth levels including Under-17 and Under-21.
