Ander Herrera ‘signs move’ to PSG from Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain on a five-year contract this summer, report Cadena Ser.

The 29-year-old is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer, meaning that he has been free to discuss terms with other clubs since January.

This is the latest report to have claimed that he has already decided to end his five-year stay in Manchester to join the Parisians on a free transfer.

A report from March in Diario AS claimed the Spaniard will move to the Parc des Princes on a three-year contract, with a ‘significant wage increase’ from a reported €112k per week up to €170k per week.

Then a multitude of other media reports followed that the midfielder was set for a move to the France capital, despite interest from former club Athletic Club Bilbao.

“Right now I’m only thinking about football and beating Barcelona in the Champions League,” Herrera told Spanish outlet ABC last month.

“I have two months left on my contract while at the moment me and United do not think the same on the renewal terms.

“I want to continue playing at the top level and for a big club for as long as my body allows, and it is still my obligation to listen to what United have to say.

“I do not want to rule out any options at the moment.”

Atletico Madrid have also previously been linked to the combative central midfielder, alongside Italian side Roma.

Herrera joined United in 2014 in a €30m deal and has made 189 appearances to date for the club, scoring 20 goals.

The report claims the midfielder wants to end his career at former club Real Zaragoza.
