Jesus Vallejo wants Real Madrid stay

Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo is hopeful of remaining at Real Madrid despite a lack of game-time, report ESPN FC.

The 22-year-old has played just three times this season and just once in La Liga – in Sunday’s win over Athletic Club Bilbao – with youth graduate Javi Sanchez preferred even with the club’s injury crisis.

Earlier this month, Spanish TV station La Sexta claimed Vallejo had no intention of staying at Madrid beyond the current season, with a €50m deal already in place for Eder Militao from FC Porto.

Vallejo was brought into the first-team squad at Madrid last season and has made a total of 15 appearances following a previous loan stints at Real Zaragoza and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Diario AS say that whilst Los Blancos wanted a long-term future for Vallejo, they were prepared to loan him out this summer along with Brahim Diaz.
