Valencia midfielder Denis Cheryshev is out for the rest of the season after sustaining a knee injury in Sunday’s win at Real Betis.
The 28-year-old is thought to have suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury and will now miss the club’s run-in, including the Europa League semi-finals and Copa del Rey showpiece against Barcelona.
The Russian international has been in fine form for Los Che since his summer loan, netting four goals in 41 first-team appearances.
Marca report that South Korean Kangin Lee will now be recalled from the Under-20 World Cup to replace Cheryshev in the squad for the final month of the campaign.
