Valencia boss Marcelino Garcia Toral has warned his side are still ‘a long way’ from this season’s Europa League final.
Los Che will face Arsenal in the last four of the competition having defeated Villarreal 5-1 on aggregate at the quarter-final stage.
“Baku is still a long way away for us, we will be facing one of the competition favourites,” Marcelino told his post-match press conference, as cited by Marca.
“This is our centenary year and we would like to play in another final (along with the Copa del Rey), it is a big incentive for us.
“We are happy with the game, we controlled the tie, scored the goals at the right times and avoided injuries, although Francis Coquelin’s suspension (for the first leg) is a drawback.
“We are proud to be in this semi-final, in the Copa del Rey final and chasing a top four spot, we have enjoyed a strong run of form.”
