Real Madrid plan around Fede Valverde

Zinedine Zidane plans to give Fede Valverde a prominent role at Real Madrid next season after being impressed by his level, report Marca.

The 20-year-old has made 21 appearances for Los Blancos this season having returned from a loan stint at Deportivo La Coruna last summer.

Indeed, four of those appearances have come in Zidane’s first five matches at the helm and it is said he is preferred ahead of Spanish duo Dani Ceballos and Marcos Llorente.

“My idea is to stay at Real Madrid, I have worked very hard to reach this level and do not want to give it up,” Valverde told Corriere dello Sport, as cited by Spanish media, earlier this month.

“If I ever leave this club it will be with the thought that I tried my very hardest but ultimately the future will be decided by the Coach and the club – but I want to give everything for this club.

“I feel really comfortable in all of the midfield positions – I try to make the most of any minutes I have.”

The Uruguayan is under contract at Madrid until 2021.
