Marc-Andre Ter Stegen: “Barcelona are not Paris Saint-Germain”

Barcelona goalkeeper is confident his side will not suffer a comeback at the hands of Manchester United: “We are different from Paris Saint-Germain.”

The Blaugrana lead 1-0 in the tie thanks to last week’s 1-0 triumph at Old Trafford but will be wary of United coming from two goals down to eliminate the Parisians 3-3 on aggregate.

“We will see that tomorrow, but the good thing is that we play different from PSG,” Ter Stegen told reporters at his pre-match press conference, as cited by Marca.

“The result is dangerous because the advantage is small but we know we have to keep the ball, as always, and play as we always do in order to achieve the best result.

“We have a rival who wants to win, a team who have won important away matches this season and, of course, the advantage we have is not very big but we want to defend it, we want to show that we are superior.

“We do not want to talk about what happened last year (against Roma) and it was hard but it was in the past – we do not want a repeat again.

“This will be a very difficult match, just as the first leg was – they made life very difficult for us.

“We will have moments where we will have to defend, just as we did there.”
