Casemiro: Real Madrid miss Crisiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has spoken out about the impact of Cristiano Ronaldo's departure on the club in the 2018-19 season.

Ronaldo moved to Serie A giants Juventus before the start of the campaign, and Los Blancos have endured an inconsistent nine months without him, exiting the Champions League at the last 16 stage and falling behind Barcelona in the La Liga title race.

His goals and performances have been missed, and Brazilian international Casemiro was clear about void left by the Portuguese striker.

"Of course we miss him, any team in the world would miss Cristiano.

"He is the best player in the world.

"It was a pleasure playing alongside him, but situations change and he is no longer a Real Madrid player."

Casemiro was speaking following Brazil's 1-1 friendly draw against Panama in Porto, and he will captain the side again in the absence of PSG forward Neymar when they face the Czech Republic in midweek.
