Inter want to block Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes from joining Everton permanently, according to a report in Diario Sport.
The Merseyside club paid a season-long loan fee of €2.5m to land the Portuguese international but do not exercise an option to sign the midfielder permanently.
Everton want to sign the central midfielder in a permanent deal worth €25m and while the Blaugrana are said to be open to this move, Inter apparently want to halt the move.
Marco Silva’s side are said to ‘still be confident’ on a move despite the fact that other clubs are in the hunt for the 25-year-old, who has started 21 Premier League games this season.
Gomes joined Barca from Valencia in 2016 in a deal worth up to €55m but failed to settle at the Catalan giants.
