Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of FC Porto defender Eder Militao for this summer, the club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old, who has also been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, is said to have a €50m release clause in his contract in Portugal, but has now signed a six-year deal for Los Blancos.
The Brazilian only joined Porto this summer from Sao Paulo and has featured in 31 matches for the club, with his performances catching the eye of many of Europe’s leading clubs.
The versatile defender is primarily a right-back but is equally comfortable playing in the centre of defence or in a deep-lying midfield role.
