Real Madrid are to open up disciplinary action against midfielder Isco, after he failed to attend a team meeting prior to the Champions League defeat to Ajax last week.
According to reports in Marca this morning, it is the club that are taking the action against the Spanish international, as per their internal code of conduct, not manager Santiago Solari.
The issue surrounds his decision to make his own way to the Santiago Bernabeu for the game, after being omitted from the match day squad, despite returning from a recent back injury.
Isco has apologised for the incident, however the club will now launch an investigation into the matter.
He has been left out of the 18 man travelling squad for Sunday's La Liga clash with Real Valladolid.
