Former Real Madrid club president Ramon Calderon believes former manager Jose Mourinho is on the verge of a return to the club this summer.
The Portuguese boss won a La Liga title during a spell in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu between 2010 and 2013, and he has been tipped to replace current manager Santiago Solari at the end of the season.
Mourinho has remain tight lipped over the links, however Calderon has stated that a deal is almost done.
"I am 90% certain that Mourinho will be back at Madrid", he told BeIn Sport.
"I don't know if it will be on Monday, but there were discussions about sacking Solari on Friday."
Calderon also confirmed that he believed the club contacted Zinedine Zidane about a possible reunion, however the Frenchman declined their offer.
