Sergio Ramos, Florentino Perez Real Madrid fallout

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and president Florentino Perez were involved in a heated argument after the club’s Champions League defeat to Ajax.

The president reportedly stormed into the dressing room after the defeat on Tuesday and lambasted the performance of the players during the 4-1 defeat.

Ramos, who had been suspended for the clash, then stood up to the president and criticised the sports planning of the club, leading to an unseemly discussion.

The incident was reported by multiple Spanish media outlets on Thursday including Marca and Diario AS, with Ramos said to add that he would leave the club if they agreed to sell him.

Perez is also said to have been angry at the supposed lack of commitment of the players and the number of days they had taken off full training.
