Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has admitted his side are going through a ‘tough moment’ but insists they will soon return to form.
Madrid have lost three successive home games for the first time since 2003 and are 12 points off the pace in La Liga, out of the Copa del Rey and only still competing for the Champions League trophy.
“It is normal for any team to go through tough moments,” Casemiro told Brazilian TV channel Esporte Interativo, as cited by Marca.
“We now must focus on being united, on growing and focusing on what we have left in this season, to maximise our results.
“Ajax will prove a very tough opponent once more, nobody is surprised their performance in the first leg and it will be a massive test for us.
“We did not play very well in Amsterdam but we achieved a good result so we must try to improve on this for the return.
“Santiago Solari is fair to everyone, every different Coach has their own way of working, but we are happy with him.”
