Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal believes Real Madrid were hard done by in their Copa del Rey and La Liga double defeat to Barcelona.
Los Blancos went down to a 3-0 defeat to their arch rivals on Wednesday night in the Copa, and a 1-0 loss at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night ended their slim La Liga title hopes.
However the Spanish international believes his side were unfortunate to suffer back-to-back losses.
"I think they were two closely contested games.
"In the Copa, the result was flattering on Barcelona, and in the league game we had chances to score.
"The league title is now far away for us, and that hurts as this game was a chance to get back into the title race."
Real Madrid are now 12 points behind Barcelona, in third place, but he admits they have simply not been good enough in recent weeks.
"You should not lose three games in your own stadium, but we shouldn't regret things, we need to look forward."
