The Copa del Rey remains an important competition to Barcelona according to full back Jordi Alba – and one that they are determined to win.
La Blaugrana progressed to their sixth successive Copa final after beating bitter rivals Real Madrid 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Copa semi final second leg.
Barcelona are seven points clear at the top of the La Liga table, as they look to defend their domestic title, as well as chasing a quarter final place in the Champions League, but they will not be underestimating the cup.
"We always give value to the Copa.
"Real Madrid wanted to be in the final just as much as we did and we have had to suffer and work hard to get there.
"To call it an insufficient trophy is not the case for this club."
The two sides meet again at the weekend, as Barcelona return to the capital looking to extend their lead at the top, on both Real Madrid and Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid.
