Real Betis ‘move for’ Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge

Real Betis are evaluating the possibility of signing out-of-favour Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge this summer, according to reports.

Estadio Deportivo cite a report from France Football that Betis could ‘provide the new environment the English striker needs’ to kickstart his career.

The 29-year-old has started just two Premier League games this season and indeed has only made 34 starts in the competition across the past five campaigns.

The former Manchester City and Chelsea striker has suffered from injuries over the years and has slipped down the pecking order at Anfield.

Sturridge is out of contract at Liverpool this summer and would be available on a free contract this summer.
