Atletico Madrid are one of a host of clubs scouting in-form Benfica full-back Alejandro Grimaldo, report El Mundo Deportivo.
The 20-year-old netted in Benfica’s 10-0 win over Nacional on Sunday and was reportedly scouted by Atleti alongside English duo Manchester City and Arsenal.
Grimaldo joined the Portuguese club from Barcelona’s B side in 2016 in a €1.5m deal and came close to joining Napoli last summer.
The report nicknames the left-back as being ‘the next Jordi Alba’ and could be set for a move away from the Lisbon-based club this summer.
