Real Madrid playmaker Isco has stated he ‘does not enjoy the same opportunities’ as his teammates in an apparent dig at Coach Santiago Solari.
Former Madrid midfielder Ruben De La Red, who played for the club between 2004 and 2010 before later becoming a youth team coach, spoke of his admiration for the current Madrid boss.
“Real Madrid does not wait for anyone,” De La Red said, as cited by ESPN FC.
“Everyone in the squad is a very good player. Whoever is not up to it gets passed out by his teammates. Madrid have improved a lot since Solari took over on the bench.”
That comment prompted Isco to respond on social media: “I agree completely with De La Red but when you do not enjoy the same opportunities as your teammates then things are different…
“But even still I keep working and battling a lot hoping for them. Hala madrid!!”
