Real Madrid goal keeper Thibaut Courtois revealed his teammates do not discuss former striker Cristiano Ronaldo, according to an interview with Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.
Club record goal scorer Ronaldo left the club in the summer, moving onto Serie A giants Juventus, but Courtois claims that Real are not focused on their former player.
"He is not talked about in the dressing room.
"It is mainly the press that drops his name.
"We've had games this season where we've had ten chances, not scored, and lost. Then Ronaldo scores two at Juventus, and suddenly it is easy to speak about him."
Courtois conceded that Ronaldo's exit left an obvious void, but he is confident that the squad can cope, with other players stepping up.
"If Ronaldo leaves, and there is no top attacker to replace him, then you know you will have a difficult year.
"You hope that Benzema and Bale will score more, and partly they do that. We are progressing in recent weeks."
