Deportivo la Coruna midfielder Carles Gil has completed a transfer window move to Major League Socccer side New England Revolution.
Gil has been a regular for Deportivo la Coruna in their promotion bid from the Segunda Division this season, however he has taken the option of a big money move to the United States.
He has already linked up with his new team mates, who are currently undergoing preseason training in Marbella, after signing a multi year deal as their Designated Player, according to NBC Sports.
The former Aston Villa player is reported to be the club's biggest ever transfer expenditure, in a deal for around $2m and a further $2m in salary, and he could make his debut for the club this weekend in a friendly game against Czech Republic side Viktoria Plzen according to manager, and former US international goal keeper, Brad Friedel.
