Manchester United plan long-term David De Gea deal

Manchester United are prioritising a long-term contract for in-demand goalkeeper David De Gea, according to reports.

The Red Devils have triggered the Spain international’s one-year extension at the club, meaning his current deal will run through until the summer of 2020.

However, the Daily Mirror leads reports that the former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper’s long-term future is a priority for United and they are now making plans for the deal.

United are close to announcing a long-term contract extension for Anthony Martial and then will prioritise the goalkeeper’s future.

De Gea joined the English giants from Atleti in the summer of 2011 and has established himself as an elite goalkeeper in the time since, having been linked to Real Madrid on a number of occasions.
