Arsenal are negotiating with Chinese club Dalian Yifang for the loan deal of forward Yannick Carrasco, formerly of Atletico Madrid.
The 25-year-old, who moved to the Chinese Super League a year ago, is said to be open to the idea of a return to European football to advance his career.
Carrasco joined Atleti from Monaco in the summer of 2015 and netted 23 goals in 124 appearances for Diego Simeone’s side, including in the 2016 Champions League final.
A multitude of reports in the British press say the Belgian international is now being seen as a real alternative by the Gunners instead of signing Inter winger Ivan Perisic.
Arsenal are also expected to complete a loan deal for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez this month.
