Arsenal have agreed a loan deal for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez until the end of the season, say various reports in Spain.
RAC1 and Cadena Cope are among the outlets to report upon the news, which will see the Gunners hold a non-compulsory purchase option at the end of the campaign, while Diario Sport say the operation will cost €2.5m.
Various reports have linked the 25-year-old with a January transfer and he has only played 17 minutes of La Liga action this season and is mainly deployed in the Copa del Rey.
The midfielder, formerly of Sevilla – where he played under Arsenal boss Unai Emery – and Villarreal, joined the club from Manchester City in 2013 and has just 18 months left of his contract at the Camp Nou.
There are suggestions that such a move will see Denis extend his contract by a further year until June 2021, to protect Barca against a financial loss.
