Real Betis Coach Quique Setien admits he is ‘a fan’ of Atletico Madrid striker Nikola Kalinic amid speculation linking the club to the Croatian.
Kalinic only joined Atleti from Milan in a €15m deal this summer but has started just five La Liga games, netting twice.
“I love all good players, and Kalinic is a good player so I am a fan,” Setien told reporters when asked about the striker, as cited by Marca.
“I love many players from others clubs, he is a very good player and I am convinced that if a new striker arrives this month, then they will do very well with us.
“If nobody comes and we have the strikers already here then that is a good position for us too, I am convinced those who are here will continue to have a great performance.
“Our circumstances are what they are…we do not have a big bag to put our hands into and take a lot of money from to sign players with, but we will wait calmly for how things develop.
“Antonio Sanabria’s future? At the moment it is not clear if he will leave or not, we will see how that develops.”
