Denis Suarez appears likely to remain at Barcelona until the end of the campaign as a move to Arsenal has reportedly broken down.
Various reports have linked the 25-year-old with a January transfer to the Gunners and he has only played 17 minutes of La Liga action this season and is mainly deployed in the Copa del Rey.
However, the North London side were focused on a loan deal for the midfielder while Barca appeared reluctant to take part in a temporary deal.
ESPN FC say the Catalan club are open to the idea of a loan deal until the end of the season should an arrangement of a compulsory purchase option be included in the move.
The midfielder, formerly of Sevilla – where he played under Arsenal boss Unai Emery – and Villarreal, joined the club from Manchester City in 2013 and has just 18 months left of his contract at the Camp Nou.
