Chelsea star Eden Hazard has refused to clarify his future amid ongoing links with Real Madrid by responding with ‘Why not?’ to the possibility of a transfer.
The 27-year-old recently said he ‘did not want any regrets’ on his career in the latest of a long-running line of hints that he would be open to a move to Madrid.
He has not confirmed that whilst he wished to leave Stamford Bridge last summer following on from the World Cup, he was no longer committed to any certain move.
“Why not,” Hazard responded, when asked about the possibility of a move to Madrid.
“You know it very well. You’re asking the question, but you know what the answer will be so you do not have to ask it.
“I have won everything in England, apart from the Community Shield, but that doesn’t mean that I am leaving. I have always said that I wanted to explore something different after England but there are also things that might make me stay.
“After the World Cup, I wanted to leave, but in the end I stayed at Chelsea and I’m playing one of the best seasons so far.
“Being influenced by Zinedine Zidane? If he goes to Manchester tomorrow, for instance, I will not be going there.”
