Atletico Madrid striker Nikola Kalinic has been voted as the unwanted Bidone d’Oro award winner for ‘the worst Serie A transfer of 2017/18’.
The ‘Golden Bin’ award is handed out by the website Calciobidoni.it, after over 13,000 votes, to the player who has most disappointed following a Serie A transfer.
Marko Pjaca, Henrique Dalbert, Patrik Schick, Joao Mario, Benedikt Howedes, Hakan Calhanoglu and Andre Silva – currently on loan at Sevilla – were also in the running.
Kalinic, who joined Atletico Madrid on a permanent deal from the Rossoneri, won the vote by a landslide 49% having joined the club from Fiorentina the previous summer.
