Real Madrid make FC Porto’s Eder Militao ‘prime transfer target’

Real Madrid have made FC Porto’s in-demand central defender Eder Militao their prime transfer target, report Marca.

The 20-year-old, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, is said to have a €42m release clause which will increase in €50m in June.

The Brazilian only joined Porto this summer from Sao Paulo and has featured in 22 matches for the club, who have won each of their last 18 matches in all competitions.

Militao is primarily a right-back but is equally comfortable playing in the centre of defence or in a deep-lying midfield role.

A Bola said the club have no intentions of selling the starlet this window and indeed say president Pinto da Costa has vowed they will improve his current deal.

However, Porto have now signed central defender Pepe – formerly of Madrid – meaning that a sale could now be possible.
