Villarreal are close to completing the signing of Leicester City midfielder Vicente Iborra in a reported €15m deal.
The 30-year-old has only started three Premier League games for the Foxes this term and has failed to settle in England since his 2017 move from Sevilla.
Superdeporte say the Midlands club are intent on recovering the €15m they spent on the versatile midfielder 18 months ago and the Yellow Submarine are in advanced negotiations on a similar fee.
Villarreal were said to have had an initial approach of a loan deal with a permanent purchase option turned down before coming back with the offer of a lump sum payment.
Iborra spent six seasons at Levante before joining Sevilla in 2013, and he helped the Andalusian club to three consecutive Europa League titles.
