Villarreal boss Luis Garcia hailed Santi Cazorla as a ‘phenomenon’ after the midfielder’s brace against Real Madrid on Thursday.
“I believe that right now, this is a result that has to strengthen us,” he said after the former Arsenal midfielder salvaged the Yellow Submarine a 2-2 draw.
“We have to be more consistent. We did good and bad things, but we can’t lead games for just two minutes.
“Santi is a phenomenon. He didn’t play in my first two games as Coach, but he’s an example and I think he’ll get even better.
“He’s an example, not only for what he did here but also how he’s trained despite not playing.”
