Real Madrid in running for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey

Real Madrid are one of five European giants who will hold talks for out-of-contract Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, report the BBC.

The 28-year-old’s deal in North London expires this summer and now he is free to discuss with other clubs as he is in the final six months of his deal, which he will not renew.

Bayern Munich, Inter, Juventus and Paris St-Germain are the other four clubs who the report have linked to the Wales international, with a decision not yet taken by the player.

Arsenal have apparently decided that they will opt to keep the midfielder for the remainder of the campaign rather than sell in a cut-price deal, believing it offers them better value.

Ramsey has netted 61 goals in 353 appearances for the Gunners, including in Tuesday’s 4-1 victory over Fulham, since joining from Cardiff City in 2008.

The midfielder has won three FA Cups in his stint with the club.
